Olympic National Park is one of those places that feels almost unreal — like you stepped into three different worlds in a single day. From misty rainforests to wild beaches to snow-dusted mountains, it’s a dream location for couples who want their elopement to feel grounded, intimate, and wildly beautiful without feeling like a production. It is personally one of my favorite National Parks in the entire country!
If you’re wondering where inside the park to elope, here are some of my favorite locations — each with its own vibe, seasonality, and personality.
Best for: Moody, cinematic, barefoot-in-the-sand elopements
If you’re drawn to drama — crashing waves, sea stacks rising out of the ocean, wind in your hair — the Olympic coastline is unmatched. Ruby Beach is one of the most iconic spots, but there are several coastal areas that offer similar magic with a little more privacy depending on the day.
Why couples love it:
Things to know:
This is an amazing option if you want something adventurous without committing to a long hike.
Best for: Quiet, intimate, enchanted forest elopements
The Hoh Rain Forest feels sacred. Moss drips from towering trees, the air feels alive, and everything slows down the moment you step inside. If your vision includes quiet vows, soft light, and a sense of being completely wrapped in creation — this is it.
Why couples love it:
Things to know:
This location is perfect for couples who value stillness, intention, and intimacy over grandeur.
Best for: Mountain views without intense hiking
If you want sweeping alpine views without committing to a full-day hike, Hurricane Ridge is a stunning option. On clear days, you’ll see layers of mountains stretching endlessly — and during certain seasons, wildflowers or snow add extra magic.
Why couples love it:
Things to know:
Hurricane Ridge is great for couples who want that “on top of the world” feeling while keeping the day relaxed.
Best for: Romantic, serene, and timeless elopements
Lake Crescent is calm, reflective, and quietly stunning. The deep blue water paired with surrounding forest makes it feel timeless — especially at sunrise or sunset when the lake is glassy and still.
Why couples love it:
Things to know:
This is a beautiful choice if you want something romantic and grounding without feeling remote.
Best for: Adventurous coastal exploring + sea stacks
Rialto and the surrounding La Push beaches feel expansive and dramatic. Long stretches of shoreline, towering driftwood, and rugged sea stacks make this area ideal for couples who want to explore, wander, and let the day unfold naturally.
Why couples love it:
Things to know:
This area pairs beautifully with movement-based, playful elopements — think walking, laughing, and getting a little sandy.
Olympic National Park isn’t about choosing the “best” place — it’s about choosing the place that fits your story.
Ask yourselves:
One of the best parts of eloping here is that you don’t have to rush. Olympic allows for slower days, layered experiences, and intentional moments that feel deeply personal.
Your elopement doesn’t need to hit every iconic spot to be meaningful. Sometimes the most beautiful moments happen in the in-between — a quiet vow exchange, a shared laugh, the way the light hits the trees when no one else is around.
If Olympic National Park is calling your name, I’d love to help you choose a location that feels true to you — not just one that looks good on Pinterest. You can inquire with me and start dreaming up your elopement at abbyreephotography.com !
